It hasn’t been long since the brilliant Mahindra XUV700 made its debut in the Indian vehicle market. With the XUV700, Mahindra has knocked it out of the park, setting new standards in a variety of areas, including safety. In the Global NCAP crash testing, it is the first SUV in its sector to receive the coveted 5-star certification. Many road incidents involving the XUV700 have been reported in recent months, demonstrating the SUV’s durability and safety quotient, and here’s another one.
A Mahindra XUV700 crashed into a state transport bus on a highway in Tamil Nadu, causing the disaster. It was captured on CCTV, and we can see that a state vehicle was crossing the roadway from one lane to the next. However, the bus was struck from the side by a fast XU700 approaching from the opposite direction. The front end of the Mahindra XUV700 was severely wrecked in this crash. Despite the seriousness of the crash, the occupants in the XUV700 were unharmed, demonstrating the SUV’s effective and robust build quality.
Slow Down on Junctions
It’s unclear whether the bus driver was aware of the approaching XUV700. The XUV700, on the other hand, was moving quickly. Even after braking, the car collided with the bus.
This accident emphasises the need of driving safely on roads while keeping your eyes and mind vigilant at all times. Rather than speeding or riding carelessly through such highway intersections, it is safer to slow down and look around to see whether any other vehicles or people are approaching. Such vigilance may take a few seconds out of your driving time, but it will save you from such unfortunate occurrences.

The crash tests were conducted using the XUV700’s base model, which includes dual front airbags, ABS, front seatbelt pretensioners, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
