Toyota Car Sales for December 2023 are released by Toyota Kirloskar Motors. The automaker will have reached a significant milestone by the end of 2023. In 2023, the Japanese manufacturer recorded its highest-ever annual sales of almost 2.33 lakh vehicles. On a year-over-year basis, this is a 46% increase.
The company sold 21,372 units last month. This represents a considerable increase in sales, as the brand sold 17,818 units in November 2023. Meanwhile, the export figure was 1,495 units. Notably, the carmaker currently sells the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, based on the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, to international markets.

Atul Sood, Vice President, Sales and Strategic Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, commented on the strong sales performance, saying, “The year 2023 was tremendous for TKM, both in terms of volume sold as well as rolling out several customer-friendly initiatives such as complimentary Roadside Assistance Program for 5 years in pursuit of providing Mass Happiness to All by enhancing the customer ownership experience.” We’d like to thank our consumers for putting their faith in our autos. Growth of 46% over the previous fiscal year came from across the product line. The constant month-to-month performance, along with a year-over-year rising trend, suggests growing customer interest in all of our vehicles.
Popular models such as the Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, New Innova Crysta, and Glanza continue to drive our expansion. Our customer connect events, such as the “Great 4X4 Expedition by Toyota,” have also increased the enduring appeal of SUV models such as the Hilux, Fortuner, and Legender, allowing them to maintain their leading positions in their respective segments. Camry Hybrid continues to contribute positively to our growth figures. The recent introductions of the All-New Vellfire and Toyota Rumion also allowed us to end the year on a high note.
