Toyota Innova HyCross Vs Toyota Innova Crysta: Price Comparison

Toyota recently launched the much-anticipated Innova HyCross in India. The Japanese automaker has set a competitive price for the MPV. Innova HyCross prices start at Rs 18.30 lakh for the base petrol variant and go all the way up to Rs 28.97 lakh for the fully loaded strong hybrid variant (both prices are ex-showroom, India). Toyota will sell the HyCross in addition to the Innova Crysta.

Surprisingly, the base variant of the HyCross is not as expensive as its sibling, the Innova Crysta. The HyCross G seven-seater is only Rs 21,000 more expensive. Furthermore, HyCross’ eight-seater version of the same variant is only Rs 21,000 more expensive.

Toyota has set the base G variant of the Innova HyCross at Rs 18.30 lakh for the seven-seater variant and Rs 18.35 lakh for the eight-seater variant. Innova Crysta’s GX base trim, on the other hand, costs between Rs 18.09 lakh and Rs 18.14 lakh. Due to its more SUV-like stance, SUV enthusiasts are likely to prefer the HyCross.

With a large and upright grille, a high bonnet line, and body cladding all around, the Toyota Innova HyCross commands attention on the road. The hexagonal grille has chrome surrounds beneath it and is flanked by wraparound LED headlamps, giving the car a sporty appearance. The MUV gets a roof-mounted spoiler, chunky LED taillights, and a blacked-out rear bumper at the back.

The interiors of HyCross are highlighted by a multi-layered dashboard with horizontal lines. The top HyCross variants include a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen, paddle shifters, ventilated front seats, memory function for the driver’s seat, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.

On the Innova HyCross, Toyota provides petrol and strong-hybrid powertrain options. The powerful hybrid powertrain is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit with a combined output of 184hp and an e-Drive transmission.

The non-hybrid powertrain consists of a 1,987cc engine producing 172hp and 205Nm and mated to a CVT transmission. It should be noted that the powerful hybrid powertrain is only available on the higher VX, ZX, and ZX (O) trim levels. Because of its utility and value for money, the Innova has become an icon in India.
